The Step and the Walk has a beautiful cover that works incredibly well with The Name and the Key, clearly showing it is a part of a series (The Darkening Gate).

While the book is actually popping up on the internet now, I still wanted to surprise you all with a brief cover reveal countdown and some fun Instagram graphics.

I’ll not be taking forever with this countdown because I’m completely impatient, so I think over the week or up until the weekend, I’ll be teasing you and then doing a final reveal.

Perhaps the most important thing I want to tell you: The Step and the Walk releases October 13, 2026! That’s so soon!!!
