My review of How to Befriend a Demon marked my 500th post on WordPress. Now, I’ve actually been blogging for more than ten years. If I think about it, I started around 2010 or so, so that means sixteen years of writing. I started out with Google’s Blogger (lost all the posts), migrated to Wix (started new posts from scratch), then switched here to WordPress (lost all the posts and had to start new again) which I enjoy greatly.

I started writing for this blog July 12, 2025. Here is some fun data:

My top 10 posts in order of popularity

You can zoom in to read by clicking on the picture, but if it’s still a lot of trouble, here are the posts and numbers:

  • Homepage, 7942
  • K-POP DEMON HUNTERS is the real deal, 7218
  • Manga review: PALACE OF THE OMEGA vol. 1, 1888
  • Blog Archives, 1431
  • THE LAST UNICORN and the Unicorn Tapestries, 707

Only two of these are writing posts, and only one of them refers to a writing post related to my books: The Step and the Walk. That’s a little disappointing, to be honest.

The future of this website?

Well, I’m going to keep writing about writing, my novels, reading, and publishing. But I do feel like this site is going to morph into a massive review site for manga and comics thanks to my NetGalley membership. Reviews are the bread and butter of this website, but I just need to find a way to entice my manga buddies to embrace my books somehow. The taste I have in manga and comics (especially the darker ones) reflects my tastes in the books I write. How do I get manga and comics fans to stick around? That’s the real question…

Here’s to the next 500!
