I’m back presenting a much longer version of Fanfic into Fiction. It’s from 10am to 11:30am in Panel Room 2, right when the con opens on Sunday. Here’s the official description from the convention guide:

The fanfic to traditionally published pipeline is just getting bigger. The Big Five are noticing the popularity and validity of fanworks, and it’s never been a better time to learn how to transition your work from fanfic into an original published masterpiece for publication. Fanfic writer and traditionally published author Kristina Elyse Butke will guide you on how to prepare your fanfics for traditional submission or self-pub.

Last year’s was 45 minutes but had a sizeable turnout of over 30 people, which was really impressive for a panel I hadn’t done at Matsuricon for years. The panel needs to have audience participation or it will sink instead of swim, so I hope we have some talkers in this longer panel!
