I’ve written about Banana Fish on this blog before. First, I wrote about the egregious AI dub Amazon Prime gave to the anime, and then how the backlash made them take it down.

Then this AMAZING news came along:

That’s one month from today! And I’m very familiar with Brandon McInnis’s voice work (I even met him at a convention and got his autograph–he’s super nice and very good at Japanese), so this is going to be exciting to watch him play Ash.

My prayers will be completely answered if we can get this cast on a Blu-ray home release. Sometimes Netflix releases their anime that way, and sometimes they don’t. One can only hope.

But this is great news overall for this very important BL-adjacent anime that will break your heart.
