I created my website with Wix at the tail end of 2020, I think. I was living in Japan at the time. Anyway, it doesn’t matter that I’ve been a customer so long…Wix decided to raise the price of my plan almost 250% to something I absolutely cannot afford.

I hate starting over. When I went from Blogger to Wix I lost ten years’ worth of posts…and now switching to WordPress, I’m losing about 5 years or just under. Whee.

I copied into Word four recent posts that I thought were worth saving to restart this blog, but other than that, I waved a hearty goodbye to my website for a second time.

However, there were things that just weren’t working traffic-wise on the Wix site anyway. Lots of readers don’t really care about my more personal stuff (like the 300 Writing Prompts) or the bajillion book tags I like to write, as fun as those are.

People will read about animation, though. And a little bit about conventions, Japan, and a smidgen about my books.

So I guess redoing the website might be me giving everything another rebrand.

I have to say that getting this site’s design right isn’t quite working out so well for me…so please be patient while I figure out how the heck to prettify this site.
