Animation is my pride and joy and I love writing reviews of anime and Western animation. I have a whole tab devoted to the animation I've talked about and reviewed, and my animation articles are the No. 1 traffic driver to this site, particularly my Made in Abyss Season Two review.
But I haven't posted a review in a little over a year. And it's not that there's not a plethora of series to choose from ... part of it was because I joined Comics Beat and worried about burning myself out writing reviews for them (which hasn't happened), and the second part is that my reviews take FOREVER to write.
I need a new system. One of the things I think I have to chop is how I discuss characters--posting their image and spending time on them each individually. That eats up most of the post right there. I think I have to figure out how to write more generally about a series instead of breaking it down to its individual parts.
I really want to get back to it, though. There's so much that's come out that I haven't covered but want to, like Heaven Official's Blessing Season Two and Uzumaki. With some shows, so much time has passed that I may need to rewatch them just so I can write about them, like Legend of Vox Machina Season Two (I know Season Three is playing now). It feels like a lot of work, and it is, but it's something that's always made me happy--talking about animation and celebrating it.
