This holiday tag comes from One Book More and like all fun tags I play with, the prompts are themed. Check out my answers below!

A Standalone Book You Love

This was really hard because many of the books I own are part of a series. Margaret Rogerson is one of my top authors and she tends to write standalones, which I appreciate. Anyway, I love her interpretation of the fae and the craft in this book.
A Dystopian Book You Love

So...I don't like dystopian books. I had to read a couple back in high school (1984 and Brave New World come to mind) and I just don't like how grim and bleak they are, even if the characters rise above their circumstances or start a revolution. You'd think I'd say The Hunger Games would be my favorite, but...I actually haven't read those books. (Shame!)
A Book You Love That No One Else Talks About
![](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/ae93cf_5b26f0b31aa54f8dae675be974a74e82~mv2.jpg/v1/fill/w_500,h_784,al_c,q_85,enc_auto/ae93cf_5b26f0b31aa54f8dae675be974a74e82~mv2.jpg)
A Rose in Winter was very popular in its heyday, but because it's 43 years old (!!) and a relic of the early 80s, I don't think people talk about this book any more. It was my first romance novel, and although some of it is problematic, especially by today's standards, I loved it.
Favorite Book Couple

This was hard because I was thinking about a bunch of other couples, but I think Elisabeth and Nathaniel from Sorcery of Thorns make a good pair. And I love reading about them!
A Book That Other People Love That You Haven't Read Yet
![](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/ae93cf_d055ddf93d024e5d8f7afaa0da8031b4~mv2.jpg/v1/fill/w_333,h_500,al_c,q_80,enc_auto/ae93cf_d055ddf93d024e5d8f7afaa0da8031b4~mv2.jpg)
So...I watched a lot of detailed commentary and dissections of this book on BookTube and I just have no desire to read Fourth Wing. I get pangs of FOMO when people can't stop talking about it and the other books in the series, but I know from the passages from the book that I've read and seen, it really, really is not my cup of tea.
A Book With Red on the Cover
![](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/ae93cf_15f12309ed534638982d3d44843c22bb~mv2.jpg/v1/fill/w_980,h_1476,al_c,q_85,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_auto/ae93cf_15f12309ed534638982d3d44843c22bb~mv2.jpg)
I've had this book for a while in hardcover and I still haven't read it yet, d'oh! And it sounds so freaking interesting! The red smoke on the cover continues on the side and back of the book to make the whole thing seem red, even though there's only a little on the front.
A Book with Pink on the Cover
![](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/ae93cf_ec1df92fc3bd48bbb73e01697a492073~mv2.jpg/v1/fill/w_437,h_675,al_c,q_80,enc_auto/ae93cf_ec1df92fc3bd48bbb73e01697a492073~mv2.jpg)
The UK covers (like this one) knock the socks off of the US covers. I special ordered mine from Amazon UK so I could get the whole trilogy in this art style. Anyway, this is pink. Ta-da!
You Were Given a Box of Chocolates: Which Fictional Character Gave Them to You?

Mordred from the Camelot Rising Trilogy. I really like him!
It’s Valentines Day. What Book Would You Read?

Since I became an author at Oliver Heber Books, I've seen a lot of ads and shares of books from the authors on their roster. A lot of their books are romance, with NYT and USA Today bestsellers. This book was shared in the OHB group and I grabbed it based on the cover and the description. If I'm going to read romance on Valentine's Day, this would be it.
You’re in the Book Store. All of a Sudden You’re Struck with an Arrow by Cupid. What New Release will you love?

I've read Kell Woods before (After the Forest) and really like the fairytale aspects of her writing. Upon a Starlit Tide is another fairytale book that combines Cinderella and The Little Mermaid. This is right up my alley. It comes out February 18th, so in just a few days!
