This tag comes from Jessica Seymour, a researcher, lecturer, and writer...and clearly someone who loves to read! I was keeping my eyes open for April-themed tags and this one was a winner. Read on, friends.

SHARE A BOOK WITH WATER ON THE COVER

This YA fantasy has one of the prettiest, most enticing covers and it's a big reason why I picked up this book and read it. There's a sequel out there that I need to take a look at!
WHAT’S A CLASSIC NOVEL YOU’D LIKE TO CURL UP ON THE COUCH WITH?

This is one of my favorite classics. Moody, atmospheric, romantic...I read this book in the ninth grade in high school and fell in love with it. I wouldn't have any issues reading it again.
SHARE A SCARY BOOK YOU WOULD READ DURING A RAIN STORM

I tend to fall asleep during the rain so I chose a short story, where you can zip through it and then conk out. This book takes familiar motifs--urban legends, magic mirrors, spooky forests--and really plays with them in an interesting way.
WHAT’S A GOOD BOOK REC FOR RAINY DAYS?

Once again, I tend to fall asleep easily to the pitter patter of rain, so I have to go with another short story. This one doesn't evoke the weather or atmosphere of the rain--I chose it because it's one of the best short stories I've ever read.
WHAT TWO CHARACTERS WOULD YOU LIKE TO SPEND A RAINY DAY WITH?

I'd like to hang out with Shizuma and Minato from the Therapy Game/Therapy Game Restart series. It would probably be awkward because they'd be so lovey dovey around each other and likely forget I was there, but they're just such a cute couple and seem like they would be fun to grab a meal with.
SHARE A BOOK THAT HAS BLUE ON THE COVER

I couldn't think of one off the top of my head and simply looked to the left where my bookcase is and spotted the first blue book I could see. This is a fun work promoting creativity. I've read it but forgot mostly what's in it, lol.
WHAT BOOK HAS A RAINY SETTING AT SOME POINT?

Our hero and heroine are out in the middle of nowhere with only a horse for transportation. It's raining, they're soaked, and they find an abandoned shed or barn or something to stay in. They have to strip down to stay warm, and lusty shenanigans ensue.
WHAT BOOK WOULD YOU NOT MIND USING AS AN UMBRELLA?

I know it's an important part of history, but this book is diabolical and harmful. I would be happy to give it a slow, drowning death.
WHICH CHARACTER WOULD YOU LIKE TO SHARE AN UMBRELLA WITH?

I'd share my umbrella with Kim Dan. He is such a sweetheart and has been through so much emotional whiplash that I just want to do something kind for him. He doesn't deserve to be sad in the rain.
SHARE A NOVEL WITH A DRY BEGINNING BUT AMAZING ENDING

Let me start with a caveat: this book is near-perfect. I wouldn't call the beginning dry by any means. It's just that I remember when I started reading this, it took me a while to get into the beginning. I don't remember the point where the book became something I couldn't put down, but I love Yadriel and Julian and am so glad I kept going with this book.
