Maddy didn't want to go to the zoo. It wasn't that she didn't like seeing the animals there; in fact, her favorite was the reptile house, where she could stare at lizards and snakes. Nope, she didn't want to go because stupid Brian always made faces and weird noises at the lions, propping his head right up against the window to agitate them. One lion answered the call the last time the class visited the zoo, and started scratching the glass with its paws, trying to get on the other side. That made Brian jump back, but only for a second. Then he started his antics again. Stupid Brian. He was so embarrassing.
