So, 2023 was an insane reading year. And I only made one out of two goals--I met my 150 goal (in fact, smashed through it) but failed my YA fantasy goal of 30 books. My brain just wasn't into YA fantasy all that much in 2023.
For 2024, I'm going to adjust my goals in a way that may be better for me in terms of hitting them.
For 2024, my goal is to read 175 books.
I'm increasing it from last year's goal only by a little bit, because who knows what my reading mood is going to be for 2024? I may slow down. I don't know if I can repeat the numerical magic that was 2023, but I at least want a goal that I can try to work towards easily enough. Most of this will probably be BL and comics again, ha ha!
I want 10 of those 175 to be YA fantasy.
This is still more than what I actually read in 2023, but less than the goal of 30 I made for that year. I'm hoping that this will be less intimidating and I'll actually make it this time. I hope I don't DNF as many books as I had for 2023.
Other Genres
I want to read at least one romance (I didn't get around to reading any in 2023) and one nonfiction book (again, didn't read any in 2023). I also want to read more horror.
Wish me luck, please!
I think the most difficult goal to meet will be the YA fantasy goal. I'm kinda nervous about that one, but I hope I'll achieve it in 2024.
Thanks so much for your support!
